ABOUT

Hey, Girl, Hey! is an annual Spring event curated for teen girls in the 6th - 12th grade, hosted by The Co-Lab Collective.  It is a day full of activities designed to educated girls on effective communication, conflict resolution, selfcare, financial awareness, health, and so much more.  This event is full of fun, but there is a big educational component.  In 2022 we took the girls to the The Legacy Museum  where they learned about enslavement and mass incarceration, which was a very sobering experience.  Last year we visited The Mothers of Gynecology Monument, a monument created by Michelle Browder that is dedicated to Anarcha, Lucy and Betsey, three young black girls, who were used for medical experimentation during the 19th century. We also were able to visit Fresh Greens Market, an urban farm and market located on the westside in Montgomery, AL, whose cofounders are sisters, Erica and Erin Washington.  This year we have so many specials activities in store for the girls.
